During the six-days event BMSW participants and the local community alike are invited to take part and explore the incredible world of sailing by strolling through the art exhibit set up especially for this exciting regatta. The North Hall of the Convention Center in Coconut Grove will open its doors to the public on Sunday March 4th until March 10th, 2012 and will host the work of world-renowned photographer Onne van der Wal.
Onne van der Wal's award winning nautical photography is world renowned for its unique composition, brilliant colors, tack sharp details and his attention to the technicalities of digital photography. From his Newport, RI based studio and retail gallery, Onne and his staff manage his extensive collection of stock and fine art photography of more than one million photographs. Onne's library holds images from around the globe and features the most beautiful classic yachts, the sleekest racing machines, quiet harbors and secluded beaches, icebergs, and wildlife.
The exhibit will open on March 4th with a welcome cocktail and culminate on March 10th in conjunction with the regatta awards ceremony. The display will be situated at the North Hall of the Coconut Convention Center, it will be open to the public from noon to 7:00PM daily and it will be free of charge.
